Walking through the forest her hair whipped around her face. She hummed softly to herself, her graceful moves shifting as if she had muscles in places others did not. Two leopards, guardians, stalked close to her legs, their eyes shifting every which way, paying more attention than the girl. She closed her eyes, tilting her head back as she hummed softly to herself, the melody of the song wrapped through the air, around her body and down to the earth, almost as if the song sunk into the earth, giving it lift. The forest around her had memories hidden in it, it had history. She felt it around her as she walked. She let the earth guide her feet as she walked, bringing her to a stream of white water rapids. She watched the water flowing and tossing. She kept humming, letting the soft melody wrap around her. She sighed, breathing in the soft air around her, smelling of fresh pine and soft grass. She pulled her shoes off as she leaned against a tree close to her. She steadied herself on her right foot as she pulled the shoe from her left foot. Then vis versa. She coughed softly, dropping her shoes to the ground as she pulled off her socks, and dropping them by her shoes. She walked to the edge of the water, dropping to her knees she sat on her butt and yawned softly. She dipped her feet into the water, her hair flowing around her as she hummed, the wind swirling around her made it seem like it was pulling her into the water, yet she wouldn't go. She closed her eyes, her palms flat against the surface of the earth. She felt the power of it, flowing up her arms, into her body, giving her life. She smiled, then gasped as her leopards began to rise. She fought to keep it down, feeling the animal claw at her insides and try to rip it's way forward. Her eyes swirled with the chaotic light of her beast. She closed her eyes, swallowing harshly as she pushed herself up off the ground, running out into the ancient forest, she felt the power around her as she ran, her feet shifted, her body temperature rose swiftly. She started to get flashes of she didn't know what. She screamed as she jumped into the air, her body twisting around. She closed her eyes, her arms out in front of her.
Landing from the air her form had shifted, she wasn't human any longer. Her form was that of a leopard. feeling the earth flying beneath her feet. She ran as fast as she could, then stopped. She looked around, seeing her clothes riddling the ground where she'd transformed. She stretched, her muscles stretching out, nearly like rubber. Her fur was short and soft looking as she stretched there. She growled softly under her breath as she walked back, picking her clothes up along the way. She put them all in one spot and then stretched. She then took off running as she knew she would. She loved this, she loved the wind winding around her form as she ran, she loved feeling the earth flying beneath her feet as she ran. She loved it all, she loved being this way, nearly one with the earth. Flashes of leopards, old and young, ran through her mind. She felt the cries of the old leopards, the mother, the father, she felt the love and cry of all the leopards of her past. She felt the power of all the leopards of her past. It pushed her faster forward. She felt the power of the Great Leopardess. She felt the maker of her kind. She knew that she was close to her now, she was one with the reason she was alive, she was one with the earth around her, she felt everything and when she finally stopped she collapsed against the round. Laying there, her exhausted body finally shifted back. She closed her eyes, her form returning to that of a human state. She laid there, a bathing suit like cloth on her. She curled her legs up to her chest as she closed her eyes, she coughed, her hair flowing over the earth behind her back. She closed her eyes, her hands both under her cheek as she laid there, her body was truly exhausted. She couldn't even try to get up. She just hoped someone would find her soon.
Her body hummed with the power of the earth and her own leopard twined with the power of the mother leopardess. She felt and moved the same as them both, she, even in human form, felt the mother close to her heart. She closed her eyes, breathing in the scent of the earth, smelling nothing but the scent of leopards. She took a deep breathing, hoping to breath in the energy she needed to get home, but only breathed in the scent of her family, the scent of her loved ones, the scent of the accident. She couldn't remember. Pushing down the memories of the accident. She coughed, her lungs searing in pain from how hard she was breathing. She loved the fact that she could run, but then hated how it felt when she couldn't do anything else afterward. She laid there, breathing heavily as she coughed, her own mind still in the run.
